12 Month Well Visit- The end of My First Year!!

On Thursday, June 21st (a few days before my party) I had my 12 month well visit at Dr. Leedy's office. I weighed 18 pounds and 14 ounces and my height was 29 inches. She said it was time to start whole milk. Yeah, no more expensive and stinky Nutramigen...... She says it looks like I am doing great and staying on my curve of the growth chart. I won't have another well check-up until 15 months!

Well this is the close of my first year...I look forward to seeing what the next year brings with my family!!

Thank You Mommy , Daddy, and Matthew for my wonderful party it was a blast!! Also, a special thanks to both sets of my Grandparents for everything you do and have done this past year! It was a wonderful journey and I am glad you guys were all there to share it with me ! I love you all!!!

The Gifts & Pinata...

The gifts were my favorite part for sure. I received my new car seat, 26 outfits, 2 pair of pajamas, 1 swim suit, pool and beach stuff, duck beach towels, a few dolls, several other toys, etc....Mommy and Daddy also started a Snowbabie collection for me on My First Christmas, so they gave me one for my birthday that has Big Bird and a snowbabie opening birthday presents. Thanks Everybody!!!

I think the other kids really enjoyed the treats in the pinata. Oh, that poor duck!!!!!

Lets Eat Cake!

Okay..so I wasn't to happy to put my hat on! Mom took it off after a few pictures and then they gave me my little duck cake. I wasn't too sure at first but it didn't take long till I decided that I liked it! Mmmmm, Mmmmm good!

Enjoying the Food

There was lots of yummy food....fruit , veggies & dip, guacamole and chips, ham & cheese roll-ups, veggie cream cheese wraps, pasta salad, cheese & sausage cracker tray, etc..... I enjoyed the guacamole and fruit along with my lunchable Mom brought.

Guests start to arrive...

Everyone started to arrive........and everyone wanted to hold me for a minute. All I was thinking about was getting down and walking. I was doing pretty good by now, but Mom still wouldn't turn me loose on the concrete....

Setting Up for the Party...

While I took a nap my Mamaw Cathy came over so Mommy, Daddy, and Matthew could go to the shelter at Inlow Park to set-up for the party. They hung a banner, dressed up the tables with balloons and purple and yellow table covers, party hats, duck whistles and bubbles out on each table for the kids, and Mommy decorated the cake table while Daddy put up the food & gift tables and went to get the highchair.

Mommy set the cake table up with cake , peanuts, napkins, dessert plates, balloons, a frame of my first year pictures, and another frame with my 1st Birthday picture taken recently. It was not as pretty of a day as we had hoped for..it was overcast and kind of chilly for the end of June but we didn't care. Mom and Dad came back to the house to get me while Matthew waited at the shelter..and then we all waited together for my guests to arrive.

The Cake......

Mommy picked up the cake the night before my party from Classic Cakes because they aren't open on Sundays. She was very pleased with the outcome. The bottom layer is chocolate chip with truffle center, middle layer is pineapple with coconut center, and the top was almond pound with truffle center. I also had my very own white cake round to dig into........The theme for my party is Ducks..Quack , quack, quack. I call everything a duck..its my favorite word besides Daisy.

Birthday Dinner...Mexican Again!

Mom and Dad thought that since I was really getting a kick out of eating Mexican food...it would be a perfect choice for our dinner tonight. We kept it simple..Mom, Dad, Matthew, Papaw Jeff, and Mamaw Fleta. Papaw Mike and Mamaw Cathy wasn't there because Papaw's working second shift but I'll see them Sunday.

I had the usual..and yes we celebrated sharing fried ice cream. Mom decided on no cake today because she really wanted the first time I ate it to be at my party so everyone could experience my reaction. What a nice dinner..I can't wait till my party!!

I Turned One Today!!!

On Wednesday, June 20, 2007.. I turned One! We are going to go out to eat tonight for my Birthday when Daddy gets home from work and my party is on Sunday. Mom went ahead and gave me a gift this morning from Daisy Mae. It was a beautiful little purse that says Best Friends on one side & flowers on the other and has a black and silver schnauzer in it just like Daisy Mae. Too Cute! Thanks Daisy Mae!

Daddy's First Father's Day with Me

Daddy has already had 17 great Father's Days with my brother Matthew but this was his first with me. We spent the day having another cook-out/swimming party at Papaw Jeff's and Mamaw Fleta's. It was a nice relaxing day for all the Dad's..including my Uncle Jason.

We didn't get to see Papaw Mike today because there were games going on with one of my cousins but we caught up with him the next day....Happy Father's Day Daddy & Papaw's!

Father's Day Gifts

Since Papaw Mike was in the Navy we decided to make him a picture frame collage of some pics Mom had taken at The Picture People when I had my 1st year pics done. I had on a cute sailor swimsuit that Mamaw Cathy had bought me awhile ago. Mom also thought Papaw Jeff would get a kick out of it even if he wasn't in the Navy. So we made them both one.

Cool Shades

I had to share a pic of my cool shades that Mamaw Fleta let me borrow. Of course, I have my own but I wanted hers. She also did my wet swimming hair up in a cute punk rocker style....

Since I am figuring out that I like swimming....Mommy has been taking me over to Grandma's too! I think this is going to be a fun summer......
