We left for Ohio two days before I turned 11 months old to go to Schnauzerfest. Mommy works with a schnauzer rescue group that is based in Cincinnati (Schnauzer Friends For Rescue and Adoption). All of her schnauzer dog friends on her internet lists come to this fundraiser put on by Mommy's group every year. They are spread from New York, West Virgina, Missouri, etc. This is the only time a year they get to see each other because of the distance. Mommy did have to miss the year before when she was pregnant because Dr. Ertel wouldn't let her travel late in May. Everyone stays in a hotel for the weekend and meet up for a meet and greet with the dogs and then safely crate them in their rooms and go out for dinner without the dogs.
This was my first time meeting these friends of my Mommy's....so I got several gifts and kisses. This was also my first real official travel and stay in a hotel. Daisy Mae and I had a blast playing in the hotel. I did not want to sleep in my pack in play..so after two hours of rocking and on and off crying, I crashed in the bed between Mommy and Daddy. They were hoping for some rest since tomorrow is the big Schnauzerfest and Mommy is working one of the raffle tables. Mommy doesn't foster anymore since I came along but she still does homevisits, transports, and works the Schnauzerfest.
